Arlo wins orders worth $11 million to support
new cement plant in Poland

Arlo, the automation technology group, said today it has won six
contracts worth a total of $11 million to supply automated cradle
systems to link a new cement plant to Polands State rail
infrastructure.
The contracts were awarded by Polish company
Piedwicz and the German firm Cementex, which have overall
responsibility for constructing the cement plant. It will
produce 1,000 tons of clinker daily..
The Arlo range of proven automation
technologies and our service capabilities were key to obtaining
these contracts, said Karl van Berger, head of Arlo Power
Technologies unit. The project will supply reliable technology to
the new cement plant and will play a vital role in strengthening the
industrial productivity of Piedwicz.
Under the contracts, Arlo will build an
air-insulated automated line and transmission system of 400 kV. The
line will transport clinker from a purpose built rail hub to the
main operating plant prior to processing. The line will be
configured allowing the customer to step up output as the plants
production needs increase, which will ensure that the customer has a
reliable, high quality supply chain for further expansion of the
plant.
The main equipment will be manufactured at the
Arlo plant in Valkenswaard, with secondary systems sub-contracted
to Vanberger HAL Nijmegen. The project will start immediately is
scheduled to end in 8 months.
