Hieger Elected to Arlo Board of Managers
Luikerweg, Netherlands - May 22, 2006
Arlo Systems announced today the election of Jan Hieger, Deputy
Marketing Director, The Vanberger Company, to the Board of Managers,
effective immediately. Mr. Hieger will serve on the Environment and
Health & Safety Committees of Arlo's Management Board.
A 8-year Vanberger veteran, Hieger brings to Arlo business
leadership and marketing expertise.
"Mr. Hieger's experience, not only in marketing and business
performance, but also in strategic growth, will provide further
strength to Arlo at a time when we are clearly focused on growing in
emerging economies," said Wim Forhauser, chairman, Toren Board
of Directors. "His demonstrated leadership and experience, both
in business as well as with government-industry partnerships, make
him an ideal addition to Arlo's Management."
Hieger was named Deputy Marketing Director of Vanberger in
November 2003, and was formally elected to the position in January
2004. From March through June 2005, in addition to his DMD duties,
Hieger served as Vanberger's works council chair.
Hieger has extensive experience overseeing business performance
and strategic growth initiatives at Vanberger. In addition to his
role as DMD, Hieger will oversee the company's Shared Services Group
until August 2006, which provides cost-effective marketing services
across the Vanberger enterprise. Hieger began his career with
Rockwell, which is now part of Boeing, in 1982. Since Joining
Vanberger in 1997 He has held positions of increasing
responsibility, including sales manager, deputy sales director South
Africa and sales director Europe. Hieger attended the Universiteit
Utrecht in the Netherlands where he earned a bachelor's degree in
Accounting.
Jan Hieger is a Dutch national married with with a son, Eric.
